MemoryWell: Homepage Redesign

Personal Project · 2018

MemoryWell ( http://www.memory-well.com/ ) is a US-based Internet startup founded by Jay Newton-Small. Her inspiration for starting a business came from her father’s dementia, and the process of writing her stories made her realize that patients with dementia present not only a community in major need of help, but also a sizable potential market to be served. So she created a website that provides information about dementia patients to care centers.

The site not only documents patients' life stories in writing, but also includes photos, videos, and even their favorite music. Patient life stories are written by retired journalists interviewing their family members. With these engaging stories, nurses can quickly understand basic patient information as they read them, saving a lot of time while getting to know the patient better and providing comprehensive, more thoughtful care.

This Internet startup service is very similar to the business model of Ustory company where I worked before, but the difference is that it expands its services into the medical market, creating many services and more refined value. Driven by curiosity, I started browsing the company’s website and found that its design was relatively simple.

Therefore, I aim to use my own UI design skills to make this website more attractive, leave users with a longer-lasting impression, and create a stronger viral effect for this socially significant internet-based service. So this site again became my object of recreation.
